How the Fun Found it’s Home in Avalon
Some places are planned. Others just sort of happen.
Somewhere between the salt air, the lifeguard boats, and the sound of a screen door slamming after a long beach day, the idea for Gully’s started to take shape. It wasn’t built around a concept as much as a feeling — the kind of place where people wander in sandy-footed, run into old friends, stay longer than they meant to, and leave with a story.
Avalon has always had that magic. Summers that stick with you. Nights that start with “just one drink” and somehow turn into closing time.
Gully’s was created to capture that spirit — a little mischievous, a little nostalgic, and unmistakably shore.
The food follows the same philosophy: familiar favorites done right, made for sharing, with the kind of flavors that feel like summer. And because no great shore story is complete without great pizza, we partnered with Phil’s Famous Pizza — a name locals have loved for years in Sea Isle — bringing their legendary pies to Avalon for the first time.
